CHANDIGARH: While presenting the Haryana Budget-2019 in the state assembly, Finance minister proposed a budget of around Rs 1.32 lakh crore for Haryana, which is 14.73 % more than last year. The budget has proposed no new tax for year 2019-20.
The finance minister has also announced to introduced new scheme to provide financial and social security cover to families of farmers in possession of land up to 5 acres and for the families of workers in unorganised sectors with the family income of less than Rs 15,000 per month. In case of farmers, this will be in addition to the “Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi” launched by the government of India. For this, the state has provided an outlay of Rs 1,500 crores in this budget.
An aviation hub comprising of maintenance, repair & overhauling and fixed base operation facilities, training and simulation center, aerospace university and aerospace/defence manufacturing park has been proposed to be developed in Hisar in over an area of 3,500 acres.
The government has also proposed to set up a science city for national capital region in the state in collaboration with the government of India. Site of Aravali park, Nathupur village in Gurugram is being finalised for it. A sub-regional science centre will also be set up at Ambala with the financial and technical support of national council of science .
Captain has also announced to allocate Rs 100 crore for completion of the construction of SYL canal. He said that his government is committed to constructing the SYL even if it costs more than the proposed budget.
Captain Abhimanyu has allocated Rs 3,834.33 crore for agriculture and allied activities. An outlay of Rs 3,324.51 crore has been proposed for irrigation and water resources, which is 6.2 % more than 2018-19.
An outlay of Rs 680.06 crore has been proposed for skill development and industrial training department and Rs 5040.65 crores have been allocated to health sector.

Electronics and IT: Rs 152.75 crore
