AHMEDABAD: The () has not only made provisions for six new flyovers – one each at Science City and Jundal Circle – among others but has also approved revamping of into a six-lane road.
AUDA chairman and Ahmedabad municipal commissioner Vijay Nehra said Sadbhav Engineering will undertake the widenning of Sardar Patel Ring Road and it also holds the right to collect toll.

Nehra said the company will invest Rs 200 crore and it intends to recover it by 2026. The company had demanded extend the period for collecting toll, but the same was rejected.

Nehra further said the AUDA board meeting, which was held on Wednesday, has also approved proposal of Sadbhav Engineering to name two circles after the name of their group chairman. “The expansion of highway will begin shortly,” said Nehra.

The Chairman said that six new flyovers will be build at the cost of Rs 365 crore at Bhadaj (Science City), Jundal, Narmada main canal (Bhat), Kahtwada, Barejadi and over Geratpur railway line.

Nehra said that the flyover at Vaishnav Devi has already been approved as a part of the Rs 850 crore project of the expansion of the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway.
