Vadodara: Anxious about appearing for board exams? Then you can dial the helpline numbers floated by the police department, district education officer (DEO) and district collector.
The helpline numbers 63590 64557 and 98245 14033 were launched by the police commissioner Anupam Singh Gahlaut and district collector, Shalini Agrawal on Friday.

“When the board exams near, children tend to become anxious. Some also feel depressed and suicidal. Such children or their parents can call on our helplines. A team of 10 persons including school principal, doctor, psychiatrist and policemen will always be available on these helplines,” Gahlaut told TOI. Whenever, the child or parents call on the helpline, the team will offer help including counselling.

“Before or during the exams, many children or parents are not able to find the exam centres. They can also call our helpline to seek information. The idea is to offer all kind of help to the students as well as their parents. We can also give guidance to the parents who tend to put pressure on their kids during the board exams,” Gahlaut added.

Gahlaut said that they are already getting phone calls on the helpline. “The helpline will be operational till the board exams are over,” he said.
