KOLKATA: A call on Tuesday night to the counter at the NSCBI Airport, in which the caller said in chaste Hindi, ” Shanti rakho. Jhagra math karo (Keep peace, do not fight)” left the authorities concerned.
The CISF, too, was informed. A senior officer said: “After the attack on February 14, all major airports across the country are in a state of high alert. The call, in this backdrop, was cross-verified and nothing substantial was found. No formal complaint was lodged with the .”
Airport sources said the state of high alert would be maintained till further orders. All such calls, even if they are prank calls, will be cross-checked. “If required, it will be handed over to police for further investigation,” added a source.
