Vadodara: Following the previous year’s trend, girl students outperformed boys even this year as five, of the 6 successful candidates to qualify as company secretaries (CS) from the city this year, are girls. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) declared the results of CS executive and professional programs on Monday, exams of which were held in December last year.
Of the successful candidates, Raman Prajapat scored 485 out of 900 marks. After completing his intermediate exams, Raman wanted to complete both CA and CS studies together. Raman, who is in his final stage of his chartered accountancy (CA) studies, is following in the footsteps of his father, who is working as chief accountant officer in BSNL. Interestingly, his sister too is in CS final year. On the other hand, Nuzhat Tai had already completed her CA course and is working with a Mumbai-based audit firm. After successfully completing her CS studies on Monday, Nuzhat said she wanted to establish herself in the corporate sector armed with the knowledge of company law, finance and secretarial aspects. Four other students who cleared their CS studies include Vrunda Patel, Devanshi Malhotar, Kinjal Khandelwal and Bhavi Shah.
In the old CS executive program syllabus exam results, three students including Soniya Thakkar, Gunjan Bhagtani and Vruti Surti came out with flying colours on Monday. Vruti’s brother, Divya Surti, too, cleared the executive program on the same day. The brother-sister duo will now prepare for their CS finals. While Vruti had started preparing for CS after Class XII, Divya started pursuing CS after his graduation in commerce.
The Vadodara chapter of the Western India Regional Council (WIRC) of ICSI felicitated all the successful students.
