VADODARA: Close to 85,000 students in will appear in class X and class XII to be conducted by the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB).

The exams will begin from March 7. While 55,243 students in the district will appear for the class X board exams that will be held between March 7 and March 18, another 30,127 students will appear for the class XII exams that will begin on March 7 and conclude on March 23.

Vadodara district has been divided into four zones for class X board exams while two zones have been formed for class XII board exams. The exams will be held at 281 places at 77 centres for which 2,964 blocks have been created.

Arrangements have been made at 170 buildings in Raopura, Makarpura, and Gotri zones for class X where a total of 1,852 CCTV cameras will be installed to monitor the exam process.

While 660 CCTV cameras will be installed at 71 buildings at exam centres in Mandvi and Sayajigunj zones for class X general stream exams, 452 CCTV cameras will keep an eye on the exam process at 40 buildings in the two zones for class XII science stream exams for which arrangements are being made at nine exam centres.
